Game brainstorm and possible game ideas.
1)FPS game
First person shooter games have always been my favorite genera in the gaming industry. The first PC game I have every played was FarCry 3, an FPS game. Because of that I am a bit biased towards this type of game. I also have enjoyed other games in this group like CS:GO, Overwatch, Valorant, with all this experience I think I would be able to use it to my advantage when creating a game.
2)Tycoon type game
Tycoon games are one of my favourite games to relax to. They don't require fast reaction time therefore I can just put on some music and enjoy my game. The reason why I think this would be a good idea for a project is because Tycoon games don't require sophisticated graphics which would allow me to focus on other aspects of the game like balancing, story, and the general depth of the game and gameplay.
3)Racing game
I have always liked cars and racing games alike. I am a big fan of the Forza Horizon franchise and enjoy playing it with my friends. I think this would be a pretty simple game to develop and the extra time would allow me to create more car models and upgrades. Another reason why I think it would be a good idea to make a racing game is because I already have some experience with creating them, thanks to the Unity3D tutorials shared with us.
4)Rhythm game
Rhythm games don't require amazing graphics which is already a good start. I love fast and energetic music and I always wanted to incorporate some of it into a game. I would be able to allocate more time to creating song maps and working on the fluidity and a scoring system.
Hey, there Leon, I can see that you came up with many ideas for your games! They’re really something else. I can see that we also came up with a racing game idea! We have so much in common! Maybe you should try making an infinite scroller game. That could be a very good idea to try out for your project.

ReplyDeleteThese are some great ideas. I really enjoy FPS and driving games too so I would definitely be playing your game if you made one of those. I'm not familiar with tycoon games but I do enjoy rhythm games such as Guitar Hero. I also enjoyed Far Cry 3, it's the only Far Cry I have played but I look forward to playing the new one. Hello Leon , great blog post , was good to read through all of your different ideas you came up with . They are all really good ideas , i especially like the racing idea , big of fan of Forza aswell , the new forza 5 is really good if you haven't played it yet . Racing games seem the easiest option here , i think an fps game , although it sounds really good might be very difficult to get right. Same goes for a tycoon type of game , there is so many complicated parts to it , it might be hard to get right . A rhythm game actually sounds really fun aswell, definitely something you could do really well. Looking forward to seeing what game you create
